For various glazing applications, insulation of building structures and installations, and ventilation systems (particularly in structural joint requiring good moisture insulation, container construction), sealing roof and other ducts, boat building, and filling various joints (waterproofing). Waterproof, with good adhesion to aluminium, metal, glass, wood, and plastic, including polyethylene. On the one hand, butyl sealants covered with aluminium foil are particularly resistant to UV radiation and therefore for use especially in sealing roof ducts and skylight openings and in general outdoor conditions.
